TEA PROFILE: Chai Masala
What starts out sweet and finishes with a kick of spicy? Our house Chai Masala of course. Not your average ‘from concentrate’ chai, this milky cup is made with fresh ground spices, cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, cayenne, nutmeg, and cloves, and is sweetened with vanilla extract and brown sugar. The base of this tea is a Harmuty Assam. Harvested in the northern Indian state of Assam this black tea is fully oxidized and is among the most highly caffeinated and full-bodied of teas.
We believe we offer the finest cup of Chai in the city of Philadelphia. But you’ll have to come taste it yourself to find out. Cheers!
Tea Of The Day
Today’s tea is one of my favourite. Unfortunately it is not loose leaf, but bagged.
I’m planning on heading out to get some more of my favourite Chai tea.So today: Chai Tea
Contains: Black tea, Natural Chai(Star Anise, cinnamon and clove), Cinnamon, Ginger, and cardamon. Very spicy, I love it.
Its great for: Boosting immune system, nausea, common cold, lowering cholesterol, aids digestions, stimulates metabolism, good for bad breath. Also since this product has clove in it, it can be applied to skin fungus and irritations aswell.
It’s that time of year again - when I crave a good spiced Masala Chai. I make it with a good Ceylon or Indian Black tea, cardomom, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, star anise, and whole nutmeg.
